Door
The principal fabrication technique employed is contact moulding.
The front & rear sheets of the doors are fabricated separately.
The skin will have a gel coat suitably colored as per the requirements.
Wooden inserts are placed between two sheets to facilitate various
fittings. Additional layers of CSM should be provided at the joints
for increasing the rigidity and edges shall be sealed with gel coat
and CSM mat to obtain smooth finish. The PU foam is sandwiched between
the two sheets by in-situ foaming process. Proper usage of additives
imparts fire retardant properties to the doors. The FRP door has
successfully passed through tests such as squareness test, flatness
test, planeness test, impact indentation test, flexure test, edge
loading test, shock resistance test, slamming test, buckling test,
screw holding etc.
